On December 14, 2005 at 10:00pm, Jacob returned home.
A Celebration of Life was held for Jacob on December 23, 2005, at St. Ann's Church in Kaneohe.
At the end of December, Jacob's ashes were scattered in Kailua Bay and on Maui.

Howzit Jake and Ohana! I was at the beach yesterday, 'Walls' to be specific, and I saw a honu in the water. It reminded me of you, and made me remenisce to older days. Remember that day "da crew" went to 'Panics' on a big day and you almost drowned because your legs were cramping?! That was lots of fun, wish you were here to ride some waves with me, but das okay, I know your with me in spirit.
